Lent & Spring Break campout

So far so good! The kids don't seem to be falling apart with no tv or computer. We've had a few moments when dad forgot and let them on....then there was hell to pay! But I digress...we ended the spring break from school with a short camp out to Hugh White State Park. My version of camping was in a cabin--no sleeping on the ground for me! The cabin was probably the largest cabin I've ever been in (except for my grandparent's one of course)! We had a small kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, dining room and a screened in patio with chairs and table. Outside was a breathtaking view as the cabin was located at the top of a butte overlooking Grenada Lake. There were easy enough trails to follow down to the beach on either side. Ten years ago I would have been a wreck as my kids at that stage would have attempted to catapult themselves off the cliff, but Kimberly is much more obedient and reserved and was happy to stick to our side. Oh, and the best part--it was less than a two hour drive from our house!
